Off to the Countryside for Two Days.

Hello Lovelies!

As I told you this past week-end, Sundays are my busiest days, while I usually take my Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays off. So here I go to the beautiful French countryside. Check out my photo, I call it "Lanscape with bed linens":

But don't worry, I'll keep doodling and drawing!

Imagination... with a butterfly.

Hello Lovelies!

And Happy Monday!

I hope you had a swell week-end to refresh and refuel! Me? I had fun doodling around and drawing - Sunday is usually my busiest day, and I rest on Wednesdays...

Into Butterflies.

Hello Lovelies!

Have you seen my teaser? It's here for you to see. ;-)

And have you noticed? I'm into butterflies lately... I believe it all started a long time ago (1988) when I first read Fabre and Jünger and Nabokov and got into beautiful, intriguing insects in general...

And seeing a few days ago this butterfly-themed house tour (image above) just revived my passion!

...So I'm off to the countryside for a day to doodle and draw and portray butterflies! I'll keep you posted with the results. The best will appear in my Etsy shop, of course.

butterfly kisses,

-TeaButterfly.

Butterfly Inspired Colour Palettes

Hello Lovelies!

And Happy First-Monday-of-Spring! ;)

Have you heard about ColourLovers? It's a great site. Since I draw both in black and white and color, I thought it timely to introduce you today to my more colored art and to a nice ColourLovers feature.

They indeed offer an eye-pleasing collection of colour palettes derived from eighteen of those winged beauties of warm spring days, butterflies!

You could use that feature for your home decor projects, or in my case, for my art. Now I'm off to color this winged beauty (below)!

Insect Inspiration from House Tours.

Hello Lovelies!

I have an Inspiration Blog about art/design/decoration called "Stranger than Fiction". I think now is a good time to move my insect inspiration posts from "Stranger than Fiction" to this present blog!

I love perusing the Apartment Therapy blog for great House Tours, especially if I can spot beautiful insects framed here and there!

Here is my inspirational image for the day:

Hello World!

Hello,

This is my first post here and I'm, well, intimidated...

I'm an artist, born and raised in France. Currently residing in the beautiful Provence.

This blog will be my faithful companion as I draw daily imaginary insects, or scenes with teapots, teacups and saucers... Butterflies will not be left out!

I will be launching an Etsy shop on April the 8th, where you will be able to purchase my ink drawings (original art).

Prints will also be available in the forseeable future. I'm just looking for a good printmaker!

Any suggestions ?

Yours,
-TeaButterfly.
